All rentals must be paid in full at time of reservation for the reservation to be valid.
The rental period begins at 9 AM and ends at 5:30 PM, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Bikes not returned by 5:30 PM are subject to a $20 per bike late fee.
Bikes that are kept beyond the opening of the following day incur an additional full day rental fee plus the $20 late fee.
Cancellation & Refunds:
- 48 hours or more prior to reservation = 80% refund.
- 24-48 hours prior to reservation = 50% refund.
- No refund within 24 hours of reservation.
Damage Policy
Loss or damage of rented equipment is the financial responsibility of the rental customer. The value of any such damage is billed to the customer at our cost plus labor or industry standard of devaluation of the product. This includes, but is not limited to: frame damage (dents, scratches, gouges, cracks) bent and broken parts (derailleurs, rotors, wheels, shifters, etc).
It should be noted that billable damage can occur during improper vehicle transport of the bike. It is the responsibility of customer to provide appropriate car racks, padding or other means if the bike is transported by vehicle.
Ordinary wear and tear, including superficial/minor finish wear and tire wear is not considered damage.
Damage shall be assessed at the sole discretion of the Willamette Mountain Mercantile LLC, not to be unreasonable.
Bike Setup:
Our bikes are normally equipped with the front brake on the left handlebar lever, rear brake on the right lever.
For a fee, it may be possible to reverse the brake configuration (aka Moto/Euro). It is customer's responsibility to confirm the brake setup is suitable for use.
Liability Release:
I understand that cycling, mountain biking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks including injury or death.
In consideration of my use of rental equipment, I specifically agree to release, forever discharge and to hold harmless Willamette Mountain Mercantile LLC/ Oakridge Bike Shop, its affiliates, owners, officers and employees from any liability, claims of injury, costs or damages that may arise from outdoor activities or the use of rental equipment, on behalf of myself or minor children under my supervision.
